📅 Date: July 28 – August 1, 2025
📍 Location: Hong Kong
I was honored to be selected as a Fellow for the 60th Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) Conference, held in Hong Kong—a gathering that brought together researchers, technologists, and policy advocates from across the region to shape the future of digital infrastructure and community-driven innovation.
Throughout the week, I actively assisted in the technical operations of several key sessions, including:
- 🧠 HPC/AI Working Group
- 📊 Open and Sharing Data WG: Updates, Connect, and Move Forward
- 🌾 Agriculture Working Group (AgWG) & Rural Hybridization
- 🌐 SIG: Network Engineering
- 🤖 AI-Driven Networks Working Group
- 🚀 SIG: Emerging NRENs: Flagship Achievements, Future Plans, and Enhancement of Collaborations
Beyond these roles, I was also invited to join the Steering Committee for the breakout sessions—an opportunity that allowed me to help shape the strategic flow and coordination of the conference’s technical tracks.
One of the most meaningful moments came on July 29, when I presented my research paper:
“Design of Multi-Period Food Distribution Network with Consideration on Time-Dependent Perishability.”
The session, hosted by the AgWG & Rural Hybridization group, opened up rich conversations around sustainable logistics and rural supply chain innovation. It was rewarding to see how the topic resonated with fellow researchers and practitioners.
I’m incredibly grateful to APAN for the fellowship and for creating a space where collaboration, curiosity, and community thrive. The experience deepened my appreciation for the role of digital networks in shaping equitable and resilient futures across Asia-Pacific.
